So You Bought a New Digital Camera

Now what?  Most digital cameras have automatic settings that will allow you to easily take “snapshots”, but with a little knowledge the good pictures you usually take can become great pictures.  Good enough for framing - you might even start taking photos worthy of enlargement and hanging on your walls!

You can learn to get the best images under different lighting situations; how to take the best portraits or get the great stop action shots at sporting events and races - but the first step is understanding the capabilities and the limitations of your camera equipment.

Now find some time in the next few days to read the user manual that came with your new camera, and practice, practice, practice.
